Yes. I am bonded and insured through Pro Fur. I also am Pet First Aid & CPR certified.
What Areas Do You Service?
I service Victoria, Esquimalt, Sannich, Vic West, and some parts of Langford.
What is required for my dog to join your group hikes?
Must have a 2020 license and be registered with the city.
Dogs must be up to date on the vaccinations.
Must show positive behaviours with people and other dogs.
Should have good recall in order to be off leash.
Unfortunately, I am not able to have dogs join the pack with any aggressive behaviour in order to keep the public and pack members safe. I can accommodate with a private walk in order for your dog to feel more comfortable.
Do you take dogs who show signs of aggression
Unfortunately, I cannot take on any dogs who show signs of aggression with my group hikes to ensure the safety of the other dogs in the pack and people who will be out on the trails. However, I do offer private walks so if this is what will make your dog feel most comfortable I can set up a 45 min private walk.
How many dogs do you take at a time?
My group sizes are typically 6-8 dogs per hike. This is to ensure every dog receives the proper care and attention throughout my hikes/walks!
How long are your walks?
My group hikes are 1.5-2 hours long (not including travel time).
My group walks are 1 hour on Tuesdays & Thursday.
What is the total time my dog will be away from home?
On hiking days (Monday, Wednesday, & Friday) your dog will be away from home for an average on 4-5 hours. This includes the 1.5-2 hour hikes plus pick up and drop off time.
On walking days (Tuesdays & Thursday) your dog will be away from home for an average on 2-3 hours. This includes the 1 hour walk plus pick up and drop off time.
Would you cancel any walks if the weather is bad?
99% of the time I will be out walking with your dog rain, shine, or snow. In the unlikely hood of extreme weather, I will cancel the walk and let you know the day before. There will be no charge for the walks.
Will my dog be let off-leash?
Your dog will only be allowed off leash with your permission discussed in our free consult. Your dog must have good recall and show positive behaviour towards other dogs and people. If your dog doesn’t posses any of these behaviours than they will be kept on leash during the group hikes to ensure the safety of your dog and others.
How can i get my dog to join your pack?
If you wish for your dog to join my pack ( & they will LOVE IT!) please call or send an email stating your interest. Please provide as much information on your dog to ensure they will be a good fit for the pack. Once we have agreed to set up a consult and move forward I will send over waiver forms and an online form to be filled out.
Do i give you a key/code to access my home?
This is completely up to you and what you feel most comfortable with. Often, I will either get a key or code to access your place. I ensure only I will be accessing your home on the days you wish for me to pick up your dog. Your key/code will will be stored away safely and only I will have access to any of this information.
